Man, I'd LOVE to have some short days like that! What are you complaining about, Stoney?? If you weren't such a workaholic, you'd be able to sleep 12 hours a night...

If you were UF, how would you get the ball to Harvin more often (while at the same time not tipping off their hand)? I hate when a player with his talents isn't used enough.

Coach, I can symphasize with how your weekend goes. I too have been a head coach. When I gave it up to spend more time with my new born son, I really missed the hours I put in. I am now an assistant coach and looking to become a head coach again. Good Luck this season. I enjoy reading your blog

Coach Stoney,
I am a big basketball fan and I wanted to let you know that the team that beat Ralph Sampson's Virgina team was Chaminade. I wasn't born yet but have seen some of the game on film. I believe if my memory is correct they had already beaten Georgetown (Patrick Ewing) and Houston (Akeem Olajuwon). Great article, and I would like to ask you: Who do you think will win this Saturday against OU vs UM?

I am the mother of the angel,Dalton that this story is about. I cannot express the feelings of gratitude my family has towards Steve and his family.
He brought a smile to my son's face and made him feel so special his last month on this earth. I could not watch a TU football game without thinking/knowing Dalton was there cheering his buddy Steve on to a victory.
Reading Shane's story, informed me of small details that I didn't know had taken place;such as leaving his son's football game and the phone calls. He went above and beyond for a family he had never met before September 16th, 2003. He has made such an impact on our family in more ways than the game of football. In the game of LIFE, Steve Kragthorpe's name is already in the hall of fame.
When Steve said yes to the Louisville offer, our family's heartstrings were tugged hard. Steve got us hooked on TU football during his time in Tulsa, however,Louisville has gained a fan base of 6 including one endzone angel.
Wishing Coach Kragthorpe and his team an awesome season,

Shane,

Thanks for reading. I thought it was a great story and worth reading. UofL folks are glad to have Coach Kragthorpe. I was born in Tulsa (where my father also played catcher for UT's college world series finalist in the early 70's). It is neat to know someone there is reading this.

There is a typo in the 3rd sentence of the 4th paragraph. It should read that the number of participants was divided by the number 16, not the number 14. If you work out the division using the number 16 you will see that it comes out to the stated result. I have no idea wrote down 14....... Advocate webpage guru Gary Moyers will fix my mistake. I can always count on a fellow Warren Central alum.
